Where to even start...? We decided to come come to AZ for this weekend to enjoy it w/ family and friends! With Dustin's great knowledge of how hot is has been here in AZ he told me that we would be fine...not to worry about having someone come and turn on our ac so it would be cold when we got there. Well...long story but just to say after a 4 hour drive with sleepy kids and not much patience left we came home to a 98 degree home. Only to try to get it cooled down before my parents, grandmother and brother arrived. We failed at that one...after 5 hours of ac on the downstairs was down a woppin 10 degree's and the upstairs was still at a blazing 95!! Way to hot to even think straight! I am grateful that Dustin came home to help the disaster. Thanks to Kari and Dan, some dear friends we dipped in there pool at 9:30 that night. We soon called the ac people and they told us that it could take up to 24-48 hrs if the house had been cooking to cool down, in AZ sun! Well we were out to save a few bucks, and we did with a $97. aps bill for June...yahoo!! but was it worth it to have such a horrible experience when we got home?? Not in my opinion! Things did look a little better when finally got it to 76 downstairs the rest of the weekend...but as for my room and my bathroom we still have a problem! With ac unit out and it wasn't going to be till wed. before it was up and runnin again! So we wait in the heat and my poor babies have to sleep w/ fans in there rooms to keep cool!
As for the forth we had a family BBQ and then did a few fireworks out on the driveway with good friends Bri and Brandon and little Londy lou. Then after the monsoon had left us with a few rain drops and dusty winds we thought for sure that the stadium wouldn't be setting off there fireworks but we said heck lets just try it out and go see. After we waited for over and hour we saw many cars headed home and got word that they weren't going to be letting them off due to weather we packed up the kiddo's and headed home. It's was 10:15 and getting late for my little ones so we bathed them so fast and off to bed they went. Bri and Brandon had Mason and Chloe with them and too an xtra 15 mins to get home , they had stopped and saw some fireworks after all.All in all it was a fun, exhausting, busy, crazy, hot holiday the yummy BBQ, chips, homemade oreo balls soda and everything that goes with it... it was so fun to see my great grandma Kempt, my parents and Adam, and as well as Amy Jo and her family! She blessed her baby on Sunday and what a sweet baby boy he is! My parents do start as full time missionaries on July 15. We are excited that they have the opportunity to serve in the local Provo Mission! good Luck Mom and Dad!
As for the good new the AC has came and fixed the ac unit! We will have a little better night for sure! We head back to CA in the morning! :)

Dustin, My grandma Kempt and I got to squeeze in a trip to the mesa temple to celebrate the 33th anniversary of when her and grandpa got sealed. We also got to do a few family names too!

Amy Jo's family the day they blessed sweet baby Sam!

We were at the stadium in Suprise. We were actually in the large grassy area next to the stadium. We stuck it out and finally saw the show.
Where were you?
Love the pictures!
What a crazy summer for you guys! I love the picture of your family at the end of the post. Hope things are good in CA.

27 days!
That was one heck of a weekend. I am lol about the whole ac thing. Ours however wasn't broke, we just didn't have anyone that had a key to our house to turn ours on. We came home to a 98`house and couldn't take it either. We finally retreated to my sister's to chat and cool down.
I hear you are taking pics this weekend. Can't wait to see them. ~we surely need to plan a bbq. We miss you guys! Drive safely home!
