So I guess that it has been a week or so sense I went to El paso, TX. I went to visit my good friend Adrienne Wilson. Her Husband and good friends opened a direct Buy. Have you heard of it? Well it was eye opening what they can offer! If you are in the market I would say look in to it! In short I guess you could say it was filled with late night driving, feeling like a third wheel, getting there at 3am and not being able to find her house, almost falling asleep at the wheel, shopping in down town Mexico and driving along the boarder and the border patrol checking us out! What can I say we got lots of looks a white girl and Adrienne looks part Mexican headed down town Mexico! I do feel I was a little over dressed! While shopping down town, first of all we came across this cowboy with hot pink boots. They had a pointed toe in them that I kid you not was 6 inches past the top of his foot. The hard part was not only did I forget my stroller, but carrying my sweet little Titan was hard work and boy did the little guy get heavy! We took turns holding him and he had fallen asleep after only 3 or 4 stores.
We only hot to shop about 1 block before we had to head home. We did come across this LARGE BUTT up on the top of a store I did find it to be entertaining so I snapped a photo. We were so close to the border that we saw the 2 hr wait that they all do daily to get into El paso. What a life, I find myself complaining about rush hour or if I get slowed down. But these people do it on a daily basis. But it was fun to get out of AZ and adventure a little. She made it out to be this horrible Town and it wasn't that bad!We got her all ready for her trip to Mexico, swim suite shopping, and hour waxing and I just crossed my fingers that she was not going to pass out.:) We had gone before and I do fear every time we go together that she might hyper ventilate and I wont know what to do with her. She had to work Saturday but it was fun to get out and see the world from another point of view.
My sweet Dustin was at home taking care of our other 3 kids, having daddy time and was making me a surprise! I asked so many questions and i couldn't get it out of him. I even drilled little Chloe who always has so much to say over the phone. Well I was excited to get home to see what they had been up too! I came home to a new pantry with shelving under my stairway and a lifted Armada. He had this lift for over a year and a half and I have always talked him out of putting it on. It's not until I was gone for a short weekend I get a lot of surprises! What a great guy. I do feel that he likes the lift a little more then I do but I guess it does make it look better!
My great photo's come from the cute photographer Chloe! She was pretty proud of it too!

Yay, for fun trips without hubby and kids!:) Your shelves look great and the picture of you smiling with your eyes closed crack me up!
I'm glad you had a fun trip even if it was crazy at moments!! Your shelves look great, Dustin did a great job!
Rosie,
You did get it that CHLOE took my photo's of me in the pantry..right!
Fun little vacation! Everyone needs one of those once in a while. It rarely happens without kids though. It is eye opening to see the Mexican culture. I think sometimes we don't truly know how blessed we are! They go without so much!
