I have waited a long time loose a tooth...and my my mom said it would happen when it was ready. I could never figure out when that was. All of my friends were losing teeth and I have wondered if i was EVER going to loose one???!!
Well this is how it all happened...a few weeks ago I had this small bump come up behind my front lower tooth...I ran to mom asking what is this I haven't lost my front one???! Mom soon told me that I had to pull the baby tooth to make room for my new tooth. I think I was a little scared to admit it but i really hurt to pull on it...Mom kept bothering me about it and told me she would pull it if I didn't. That was the last thing I wanted MY MOM TO PULL IT!!
A few more days went by and I had worked on it a little...Mom pined me down and pulled ever so hard...It made me cry and It was bleeding....I ran to Dad and told him what had happened. He said let me look...
After a talk with Dad, he had me calmed down and they both told me stories of when their dad's helped pull baby teeth. They both told me about this string method...Mom's was hooked to the tooth and tied around the door knob and Dad's seem a little more safe to just pull on it till it fell out ...so that's what we did!
Dad wrapped the string around my tooth that was so loose..that if I sneezed, it would have fallen out...then he and mom told me it would be OK...He held the sting with his left hand and SMACKED the wall to hear a loud POP. Both Mom and I jumped not expecting that to happen then we both looked back at DAD and he held up my string in his right hand and it some how had my tooth hooked to it and I really don't know how he got it on the string??
I was so excited that I really wanted to keep it!!! I wrote the tooth fairy a note and asked her if I could keep my special tooth....
The rest is history...She left me my tooth and even gave me two dollars!!

This is a great story....one that I will have to try on my own kids someday for sure. How smart to smack the wall so that Mason didn't expect the pulling to begin!
